Hunza and McCarrison is the latest book from Dr John Pembrey, who draws on his many  years as a GP and interest in nutrition. This is a short book but gives a very comprehensive summary of my knowledge and includes some of the most important information and images from the slideshows below.
Hunza and McCarrison is published by Amazon ( August 2022) and available from www.amazon.co.uk  as a book for £15
or can be downloaded as a kindle ebook for £4.
My son Graham kindly set up this website as a Christmas present in December 2013.
I tried to help as many people as I could during my years in general practice.

In retirement I felt I could help even more people by informing them about the importance of nutrition and how it affects their health.
I have done a few presentations on this subject and rather to my surprise received the best response from an audience of  general practitioners in a medical society. Many doctors are interested in this subject but have received very little information in their training.
My aim is to increase knowledge on nutrition to doctors, nurses and other health advisors as well as the general public. Eventually this may change dietary habits, improve mental and physical health and increase the quality and length of peoples lives. It also has the potential to reduce the amount of medication, drug side effects, surgical operations and the ever increasing cost of health treatment to the taxpayer.
I plan to create a number of slide shows on this website as I know pictures sometimes have more impact than words.
